The initial idea of rebuilding the RS2000 was
to bring it into line with how it would have been built if it was
in production today. But I got carried away in a few areas and I'm
not finished yet.
Here's some info:
1980 FORD ESCORT RS2000 4 DOOR
ENGINE: ORIGINAL 2L BLOCK FULLY BALANCED, 30 THOU OVERBORE, FORGED
PISTONS, GAPLESS RINGS, COSWORTH CYLINDER HEAD RUNNING L1 AND BD3
CAMS. THE QUAD THROTTLE BODY INLET MANIFOLD WAS MADE BY ME USING
FOUR 51mm TOYOTA THROTTLE BODIES. THEY ARE MOUNTED ON AN ADAPTER
PLATE WITH A SINGLE SHAFT THROUGH THEM. THE MOTOR IS RUN BY A WOLF
3D CONTROLLING BOTH FUEL AND IGNITION.
GEARBOX SIERRA 5 SPEED
DIFF STANDARD. (CIG LOCKED DURING SPRINTS AND HILLCLIMBS) REDRILLED
TO FALCON STUD PATTERN.
