Pinto

Strange Fact: Ford had a problem in Brazil when the Pinto flopped. The company found out that Pinto was Brazilian slang for "tiny male genitals". Ford pried all the nameplates off and substituted Corcel, which means horse!

Group 1 RS2000 Pinto

In classes where induction is limited to a two-barrel carb, some form of Stub Stack is essential for maximum output. The entry device shown here was worth 5 horsepower on a 2 liter Pinto circle track engine.

Port Terminology

Piper's twin-cam conversion provides even more potential for the Pinto engine.

Note: Part numbers should fit engines from 1972 to 1982. As with anything check before installation.
This is a reference for all those hard to find replacement part numbers. Mostly they relate to the standard items but sometimes a "performance" part has also been listed if it is a common replacement.
